A Perfect Pemberton Retreat
In the Margaret River region, you can effortlessly transition from world-class wineries and gourmet local produce to dramatic coastlines and ancient limestone caves all in one delightful day. With over 150 cellar doors, wine tasting is an exhilarating activity that will leave you buzzing with joy.
My date, Steve, taken me away to the enchanting Hidden River Estate in Pemberton, Margaret Region, WA. Steve was my personal tour guide, expertly showcasing all that the Margaret River region has to offer. The weather was absolutely spectacular, and we couldn’t have asked for better conditions to explore the region. Our plan was for a scenic long lunch, which filled our day with bliss rather than a late dinner. The locally made champagne Blanc de blancs was divine and added a special touch to our experience.
Hidden River Estate is highly rated for its tranquil atmosphere, offering stunning views of the Karri forest, a beautiful spring-fed lake, and even resident horses often resting in the adjacent paddock. On the way back, we stopped to taste wild blackberries in the bush, which brought back fond memories of my childhood in Europe. It was a wonderful hidden sanctuary! We’ll definitely be back.
